****Day 3****

In the Galilee
  • Hike down the Mount of Beatitudes
  • Capernaum
  • Galilee boat trip
  • Chorazim
  • 1st century fishing boat at Kibbutz Nof Ginosar
  • Tabgha
  • Chapel of the Primacy of Peter
  • St Peter's Fish Dinner

With Bible in hand we will start our day by walking down the hillside of the Sermon on the Mount, pausing along the way for a teaching on the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:1-12
In Capernaum we will visit the white synagogue built in the 300's AD. If you look at the foundation you will see that it is built on top of the 1st century Synagogue that Jesus would have taught in.
Boarding a boat we will sail out onto the Sea of Galilee. From the vantage point of the boat we can see the very same hills and valleys that Jesus would have. We will pause in the middle and have a time of worship together.

Walk the streets of Chorazim, listed as a "city of woe" by Jesus (Matthew 11).
At Kibbutz Nof Ginosar, you’ll learn about the “Ancient Boat”, a rare example of the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed.
At Tabgha, the traditional location for the calling of the disciples and the feeding of the 5000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). You’ll also visit the Chapel of the Primacy where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21).
we will be stopping on the far side of the Sea of Galilee for a traditional "St. Peters Fish" (head optional)
