The Madaba Map is part of a floor mosaic in the early Byzantine church of Saint Georgeat Madaba, Jordan. The Madaba Map is a map of the Middle East with this detail being the oldest surviving map of Jerusalem. It dates to 540 AD







Bunting Clover Leaf Map 1581
The Clover Leaf Map Was created by Heinrich Bünting (1545 – 1606)  he was a Protestant pastor and theologian. He is best known for his book of woodcut maps titled Itinerarium Sacrae Scripturae (Travel book through Holy Scripture) first published in 1581. The Map shows Jerusalem at the center of the world. The clover leaf motif represents the Holy Trinity.
